A bookstore employee closes alone on the night of Christmas Eve, but she learns she is not on her own when an unwelcomed customer stays behind.
This piece draws instinctual fear as a bookstore employee closes on Christmas Eve night, discovering she is not alone when a mysterious customer stays behind. Utilizing the unique backdrop where towers of shelves obstruct sight and cold, weak fluorescents provide barely any light, anxiety rises as the employee tries to survive in a maze where someone may be lurking around any corner. Rebecca's AFTER HOURS implements personal knowledge and experiences from working at a large bookstore, portraying a suspenseful and horrific scenario where a customer service worker's biggest fear comes true.
